I grew up right here in the Inland Empire in Yucaipa, California. This community shaped me and it’s the community I’ve dedicated my career to serving. After studying political science at UCLA, I returned home to attend the University of La Verne College of Law on a scholarship, where I committed myself to the practice of criminal defense.

Before opening my firm, I worked as a public defender for a decade, fighting every day for people who had nowhere else to turn. I presided over thousands of cases, taking many of them to trial where I received countless not guilty verdicts for my clients.

I became a defense attorney because I believe the criminal justice system is severely misguided. A number of bad policies and a host of bad actors have created a system that causes more harm than good for many of our communities. When the government comes after you, you deserve someone who won’t back down - someone who will challenge the evidence, confront misconduct and fight relentlessly to protect your liberty.
